Now here comes the critical part. when you’re participating within someone else’s forum you may want to read any rules that you need to follow. Forum admins have already gone smart and know when someone just wants to promote a business early on.

If you do not know how to do forum marketing right, it can do more harm than good.  Be very careful about spamming or the admins or moderators can kick you out and miss your opportunity even before you have started.

It is best to participate in discussions, know how forum sessions go, and just listen.  This will let you get the feel of how the forum operates. Then you can start participating in discussions. Be helpful to other participants until you slowly and steadily build trust. And because there are many forums out there, do not dive into all of them. Choose two or three discussion forums when starting out.

When you have established yourself as an authority in the topic, you can then start getting followers.  Some forums may even allow links in the discussions or your bio profile. Just check with the rules of the forum always.
